This thread made me crave an IPA...so I cracked open a New Belgium Ranger Smile . I'll have to see if I can find some of these other ones locally to try.

You Kooks are definitely IPA newbies. Below are 3 top IPA's. Dogfish Head.

I've seen that Bear Republics many times and have never tried them. I'll have to give them a try.
This is my favorite. Lagunitas has a seasonal called Rocket Red that should be out now.

It's no Green Flash IIPA but it'll do in a pinch, I guess.
Not only does Green Flash make excellent beers, but back in the early 80's the land their brewery sits on was prime riding real estate. I could literally ride there from my garage.

Ballast Point's Sculpin IPA, Calico Amber and Big Eye IPA are also really good. If I had to pick just one beer for the rest of my life though, it would have to be Lagunitas' A Little Sumpin' Sumpin'.

DFH ipa you forgot about. Imho the best ipa we make....bottle conditioned, smooth but still hoppy. Another great IPA we used to make was "Squall" basically an unfiltered 90 minute.

Not IPA's but two of my favorite beers. Palo is especially great for marinating steaks in...

This one isn't in the store yet and I haven't had it out of the bottle yet but when we were bottling it, it had a great "root beer" taste when it was straight out of the filler...

Even though I work at DFH and might be biased I still think it is hard to beat a nice cold can of Guinness draught....
