What is the story on the forks, are they that nice anodized color in stock form? Looks really nice.

Thanks Race... I had rg3 work some magic on the suspension with the diamond kit. I had the fork tubes anodized the magnesium color and got the dlc coating on the lower forks and shock. The stuff works like a dream! A nice wet dream where you wake up and don't regret a damn thing. Smile

Very cool, man. I did not know if the forks came stock in that magnesium color. Definitely looks too trick to be stock, well done. I am sure that Diamond kit is well worth the money. Contact me if you ever want to part ways with your bike.

I wanna say that the anno on the forks was around 150. And the dlc coating was not cheap. I believe the coatings were 700 bones for the forks and like 150 for the shock.

So, it is a 49mm setup, correct? Stock was 47mm? What do they do to the fork body to accept the larger shaft? Do they outfit the new internals with a bigger fork body? Are you able to shed any light on the what actually goes into a Diamond kit? Thanks, Dave.

Edit - BTW, the anodizing and DLC is sweet, thanks for the close up.
The diamond kit uses your stock fork body..... Its basically the RG3 valving with the smart valve and all of the bling factor like dlc coating. etc etc.... The RG3 A-kit uses the 49 mm stuff.

Awsome RM 250s, I couldnt wait to start modding my almost new 08 RM 250 until it got stolen =(.
So now Im deciding weather to buy one of the last 2 brand new RM 250's left in country. As I have $2500 worth of parts just come in for RM 250. and there are no good second hand ones for sale.

I was gona keep stock graphics and have got, black rims, PC works pipe and muffler, v force reed, galfer tsunami over sized brakes, apllied triple clamps, hinson clutch basket, plates and springs, PC lowering link, sunline clutch perch and un breakble levers,
still deciding who to get to do suspension (gona need bike first lol)

Do RG3 ship A kit oversea's ???. TO NZ ??? we do have a RG3 suspension shop but i think they only use valves, doubt they do DLC etc....

I just mounted up the RMZ front end on my 125. It was a bit more work tan what was described for the 250 but it is possible.

How much more work was it? Ive done it on 3 or 4 RM 250's & it was as simple as laying one fender on top of the other & drilling 2 new holes in the RMZ fender.

How much more work was it? Ive done it on 3 or 4 RM 250's & it was as simple as laying one fender on top of the other & drilling 2 new holes in the RMZ fender.
It was a bit of a pain. The two front line up on the edge of the hollow in the top of the fender and are close to the edge where the fender steps up at a 45 to meet the front number plate. I had to do a couple of things to make it happen

1. Drill holes through the edge of the hollow ( kind of a pain)
2. Sand down an edge of the upper fender washer so that they could be close to the step up
3. Make a bracket which acts as the lower fender washers (by far the hardest part, luckily we have a machine shop).

I will post a pic of the bracket when I get a chance.
