About an hour to go before the start of the Australian Rules Football Grand Final. I love this day. This is our Superbowl. Cold slab of beer on ice and a few mates around.

Hawthorn vs Sydney, Even though I'm an Adelaide supporter, smash 'em Sydney.

Used to play semi-pro rugby, and I never understood Aussie football. Wanna explain the basics?

Cracker game. Sydney wins by 10 points after going behind early in last quarter.

Now for the Bulldogs to win the Rugby League tomorrow!

Proof that etiquette in football exists: 'Ladies before gentlemen' must have been considered when scheduling the respective AFL (Saturday) and NRL (Sunday) grand finals.

And here this entire time I thought Aussie Rules Football was just Australian for Rugy.

Neither of which I could ever comprehend. Which is frustrating because they both seem much more simple that American Football yet I still watch in confusion every time it is on.

Nice video.

It's funny to watch a video like that. The athletes are obviously very good athletes. The sport obviously has its merits. But due to the fact that I have no emotional connection to the game, and that I dont understand it, all the dramatics just seem stupid and I cannot get interested. It really puts my love for American Football into it's proper perspective.

Plus, now I know exactly what my girlfriend feels like when she watches me go bonkers over the NFL hahahaha.
