What stickers do you run on your bike?

I use a variety of products, as does everyone who rides. Do you pay for stickers to put on your bike to advertise the products you use? Or, do you get free stickers from the products you use? I never quite understood why someone would pay to advertise a product instead of placing free stickers on their bike.

I've reached out to a few products and have had a variety of replies. Some were more than happy to send me free stickers to put on my bike. Other have asked for a SASE to get stickers and others have asked for $.

I'm not a pro, I'm not sponsored, I ride for fun now. But I'm willing to run stickers for products I use and that I'm willing to endorse.

So, should companies be willing to provide free stickers?

I receive support for another sport I participate in and the suppilers were more than willing to provide stickers under the contition I provided pics of the placement of their stickers.

So, why should a recreational rider pay to advertise for a company?

Looking for some other thoughts and perspectives.

The only stickers you should run are skulls and Monster ones! Other than that, it's all for posers.

Seriously, when I raced, I only ran stickers of those who sponsored and supported me.

Yeah, I did too back in the day. I called/emailed a few product companies and some were happy to send stickers. Others wanted $ or for me to pay postage. Not a big deal, but I'm not going to pay to advertise a product I use espically a product that I'm already paying to use - I'm not getting the stuff for free!. I guess I figure they should be happy I'm using their product and would be happy to send me a few stickers. I'd be willing to send them pics of the stickers on my bike.

I run fork/shock stickers because factory connection slaps them on anyway when I get the suspension done and it looks good. Besides that I don't run any stickers on my bike. I like the way the bike looks without stickers all over it.

Yeah, I'm rebuilding a 2004 YZ250 and I think my bike will run void of graphics. I'll place stickers of products I use for companies willing to supply stickers. I'm not looking for sponsors, but I won't pay $ to put their stickers on my bike. Other than that, It will be clean... I'd be willing to endorse the products I use at local hare scrambles and MX events...

I personally don't like the free advertisement stuff. Excluding the Yamaha logo(contingency rules requires them), all the stickers on my bike are free product or more. Chronic MX(check out the website), Fox, Engine Ice, Dunlop and Risk Racing. Many thanks to those companies.

What ever is on ebay for cheap. I spend more on pre prints than the graphics.

I have chucked a few stickers on just because why not when I first got my bike. And then they just got blasted off by my pressure washer on the first wash. So no stickers (except for the riding park stickers) are on my bike.

Companies pay me to NOT run their stickers. That and I like a clean stock look. Especially on an older bike like my '03 CR250.
