I hope this move to the 250F's helps Ivan find his mojo. Maybe he will be the next Grant Langston, who completely revitalized his career after dropping back down to the lites class.

I will admit that it is almost make it or brake it time for Ivan. He's had 3 years of injury's and struggles. It's time for him to turn it around and claw his way back towards the top. I believe he still has it.

even first year pro racers in 450 w/ its own scoring.
Or do like what Nascar does and any Cup guy can race any series but you're only allowed to score points towards a championship in 1 series, so the Lites guys would be scoring points but the 450 guys could race both classes and take valuable points away from the 250 championship

And Vice Versa too, kinda like what happened with Barcia last year (even though he score points, they weren't relative to the championship, and took points away from the top contenders)

Should he be allowed to drop back down? It's an unwritten rule that the 250 class has been a stepping stone to the 450 class for quite some time now. I personally don't think he should be able to. A guy like Sipes I can see being able to stay because he has never been a threat to win championships year in and year out. However, Tedesco dominated the 250 SX West series for 2 years and then won the 05 MX championship before moving up. A guy like that who already won everything and moved up shouldn't be able to drop back down. A guy like Sipes, who like I said has never been a top threat, should be able to stay because he clearly isn't ready for the big bikes. The 250 class shouldn't be a class where veterans can race against teenagers to revive their career.

Can I see the unwritten rulebook that you're pulling this from?
Why does this guy care or feel the need to bag on a guy for trying to get off the couch and go racing? Christ you freaking people are a petty bunch of whiners.
