On a bike everyone said couldn't win, on a team that everyone has counted out the last several years, he completes the year with 4 race wins. He's out for 5 weeks, and is still had a fighting chance for 2nd in the overall championship.

Like Reed said, champions have a way of pulling out a win when it counts, and Ryan will be a CONTENDER in outdoors.

I think its a unanimous consensus that it's dungey's outdoor title to lose.

It is. And he's the man when it comes to pressure. Instead of launching himself to the moon like JS7, or riding over his head like Reed to stay with the front, he keeps a cool demeanor and gets it done.

If we're judging people based on one race, then Andrew Short must be the greatest SX rider ever based on the seattle race

I know you're a troll and all, and I shouldn't even acknowledge you (much like your mum obviously..)

But none of this is based on one race...Ryan has come out this season with 4 wins, and all were impressive rides.

Yeah I know that. I'm arguing against your statement saying that Reed rides over his head. That is the dumbest shit I've ever heard.

They have that KTM dialed. I love how low it sits to the ground. It almost looks like an 80. Very low center of gravity.

Yeah it wasn't really a 4th gear swap was it, he hooked an edge and lost a little momentum, came up 1/2 foot short... hardly over his head... just a bad result was all...

considering how crap the uk is its no wonder they need that kind of stimulation.

They all have to ride over their heads to a certain degree. This is why we've had so many riders hurt these last few years - because the intensity level is at an all time high. These days you have to ride with a certain amount of abandon.

RD rides that way too, especially when the good guys are out there with him. But what separates a rider like Dungey and a rider like Stewart and the frequency in which they both hit the ground, is down to a combination of things. Granted, knowing when to back off is one of them but there are other reasons beside that imo. Superb fitness, being comfortable with the bike and picture perfect technique all go towards staying on two wheels.

James Stewart is absent, Ryan villopoto is absent, Chad Reed is absent, and Tray Canard is absent.
Ryan Dungey Is the fastest guy of the rest that are left. Where is the surprise?

yes your are right! How many 450 titles does RV have without a gift from someone else? '11 SX Dungey broken chain, Stewart not feeling the bike, Canard crashing out. '11MX Dungey outta gas, Reed skyrocketing to the moon, Dungey electrical prob, Canard crashing out. '12 SX all the top riders crashing out...including RV. Fortunetely for him it was after he'd locked the title up with no one even close to him in speed. And now he's out for '12 MX.

..alot of people give an ** to Dungey for his '10 titles....which is horseshit. I think you can put a big ol' ** for RV to. Sounds silly doesn't it. There's always going to be injuries and mechanicals. There is no ** in this sport. You have to be IN it to win it.
