Just thought I would share some of my observations. My son, my 3 year old grandson and myself just got back from a LLQ in Livingston, Tennessee. No, my son didn't qualify but thats okay, it was a trip more for fun than anything.
I'm happy to report that the amateur scene is doing quite well or so it seems. We have been out of the major racing racing scene for about 4 years now. I (the major finacier) was laid off and spent 3 years back in school and starting a new career. We now are back to riding some, although not me, as I tore my acl a few months ago and had it replaced 5 weeks ago. Anyway, I saw just as many motor homes/toyhaulers as I remember seeing back 4+ years ago if not more.
So I guess the economy didn't hit everyone but I sure as hell felt it.
The thing I wanted to mention was how many more 2 strokes I saw racing this weekend as oppossed to 4 years ago when we dropped out of the scene. You used to see one or maybe two in the A and B classes but I saw several more than that this weekend. I don't care which you ride as we have had and ride both here at my house. I just thought those of y'all that argue about it so much might like to know.
Either was we had fun and it was just more family time that I got to enjoy with my son (not the grandson's dad) and bringing my grandson into the mix. I don't know how many people he stopped walking by saying "hey look this is my new baby dirt bike" referring to his pw50 as he sat on it. Made this old man proud!!!

Wish more people had their priorities squared away at the races.. ^^^^^^^^^^ This is what's most important..
When an 85 rider goes to Amateur classes, whether they go to C or B depends on their RPV.
You cannot make someone younger than 16 go to A class.
