i think the tables will be turned outdoors- both baggett and roczen will be alot faster than barcia, so will wilson- and you can never count out rattray. The championship will be between those 4 in my opinion (i'd say wilson and roczen are favourites)
Roczen had some great battles with herlings last year- jeffrey has improved on the more hardpack circuits over the last year too, he's untouchable in the sand, but as the video above shows (and his performance at st jean d'angely des nations last year) he's pretty handy in all conditions now!
As for zach (338) - hope you get better soon, i was gutted to hear that you were injured! I expected zach and tonus to be right up there with searle challenging for the title this year (with herlings as strong favourite) Must be gutting for steve dixon!
Herlings will win by at least a minute both moto's at valkenswaard if he rides like he did last year- he was on another planet last year! looked like he was riding a different track to everyone else!!!
I mean the thread video for example - you probably couldn't find an AMA track like that. The GP tracks seem to be a touch slower and prepared differently. And then you have the format which is once again utterly different. The guys in America are extremely good at learning the track really quick and then being ready to race on the same day - I remember this being a huge shock to Rattray. Though SX will no doubt have helped Ken adjust somewhat, it may still catch him off guard.
With Barcia it's hard to tell. I think he's a much improved rider over last year. His confidence has to be soaring with the way he's been riding lately and I think he'll rightly expect much more from himself this year outdoors.
Awesome vid PressPass, I'd forgotten about this race.
