I have an 2011 yz450 and weigh 200 (no gear) I see Race Tech goes from the stock 5.7 spring right to 6.0 in their spring selection. Is that going to be too stiff ? I can't seem to get the rear end set up right. I would like to have about 100-105 race sag. I'm running 48's (47stock)in the front. Thanks in advance.

i typed your info into the race tech spring calculator and it recommends staying with the 5.7 in the rear and running .48 or .50 in the front.

or just get the cartridge kit from Ohlins/Langston Racing with a Ohlins TTX rear shock. makes a major improvement with the handling of the bike. aswell as linkage.

From one of the tech's at Race Tech:

Hello, after doing the spring calculation I am afraid that 6.0 will be too stiff for your weight. I would recommend staying with the 5.7 spring.

Do you have a Oversized tank or any add weight? We would recommend to run your sag at about 35 free and about 100-105 with you on it.

I would try calling Pc, MB1, or FC and ask them their recommendation. Rts spring calculations are never accurate and they got some sales guy trying to call spring rates..

I put the 6.0 on and I have exactly the sag you recommended. I don't have any extra stuff on the bike. Thanks for your help guys.
