This is all a real dirt bike needs to run crisply though. And you left out the rest of the wiring harnesses, control modules, broken fuel pumps, shorted out sensors, program chips, programming software and the laptop needed for your fuel injection system. Not to mention the other 150 some odd pieces of friction inducing horsepower requiring moving parts in that thumper engine as well. Trolling? Nah, not so much. Just observing mostly.

Even the 2-stroke carb you posted is more complicated than an EFI system. You know EFI is more efficient, right? So it is easier to "make run crisply."

"you left out the rest of the wiring" You also missed the fact that any dirt bike - carbureted/EFIed or 2-stroke/4-stroke - has the same wiring harnesses save for the extra sensors that EFI has. Solid state sensors and chips that can be diagnosed = more reliable than a carburetor. "programming software and the laptop needed for your fuel injection system" So, plugging in a laptop(which everybody has access to nowadays) and getting perfect jetting on the spot is harder than learning what jet effects what, how to change and set the jets, finding someplace to take test runs, how altitude effects things, how temperature affects things, what's the delta on the main, what's the delta on the mid, what the needle has to be at, is the float too high or too low, how to tell from the sound if it is too lean or too rich, etc. Yea, hopefully little johnny C class has a dad that passed all of the jetting voodoo down to him or else he's shit out of luck.

"150 some odd pieces of friction inducing horsepower requiring moving parts in that thumper engine as well" LOL you mean the same stator that is used on a carbureted bike? Come on now.

Now a stator has 150 some odd parts? Really? I was speaking of counterbalancers, oil pumps, cam chains, tensioners, cams, valves, rockers, buckets, valve springs, retainers, keepers..........

And about Little Johnny, if he never learns to clean an air filter and change his oil, he'll probably be screwed anyway.Wink

face_palm.jpeg. I don't know if you and this newmann guy are trolling me now or you really don't understand what a figure of speech is? I'm guessing the latter since you guys are serious vitaltard posters. Now I see why threads go on for 20 pages. "it really seems like you pulled a nice copy and paste move from wiki" Nah man, I'm an engineer so I don't have. I actually know what those big words like "vector" mean. School iz rly kewl. Anyways, here is a schematic for a kx250f carb. It just screams SIMPLICITY doesn't it? LOL imagine some poor kid trying to take apart his carb and clean it. It's also totally ironic that a carburetor assembly costs more than a whole injection assembly. Damn and an injector can be had for $70 which is a 1/3 of the cost of a super duper graphics kit that every goon at the track has. Crazy.

Haha man you are taking this to heart, I am happy you are an engineer.....so am I, does that make us friends now??? Have you ever taken a carb apart? They are really not THAT complicated, especially for an engineer of your vital-tard status. I love the performance of EFI, but I am sure regretting the day that I have to do diagnostics when something fails.

You got me. It does appear easier to diagnose than a carb and more reliable. Meanwhile , as the gate drops.

And you got me again with it being more efficient. Meanwhile, with a 25 second lead on the last lap at Freestone...

Doesn't matter if it is the 9 year old or the father.....mental age is about the same.

9 year old actually seems to have an edge.

If I had an autistic child your comment would not be so funny. I pray your children are healthy, even the smart ass 9 year old.

A little jabbing back and forth is welcomed but I must say you seem to take it a bit far for a "industry" guy or a joe blow for that matter. As someone said earlier, you would be down right shocked as to who some of us are. I do appreciate the apology as well.

Totally friends. Lets hang out. Yea, I've taken a carb apart. I have to take mine apart again to clean it and am not looking forward to it because of all the little bits and pieces.

So an "electrical problem"(nobody ever confirmed what it actually was) that can happen to a carburated bike and a blunder on Suzukis part has what to do with EFI? How many other EFIed bikes finished that race? What about when Hamblin ran out of gas at Redbud on his 2-STROKE? You do realize that EFI IS more efficient, right? You're reaching.
