By the looks of this thread maybe vital should have there oun points system. You can award a point for each pass a rider makes then it would be more fair for the rider if he gets a bad start. Then there can be a vitalmx champion.

RD had a bad start last week and rode great for a respectable 2nd. If RD wins with a great start, it's a gift. If RD gets a horrible start and finishes 2nd, he's ignored by the message boards and the media.
