I saw the first turn crash but after that he's been off the radar? Only a 16th??

Looked like issues with the front end after the crash. He pulled into the pits to get the front tire straightened out, then next time I saw him he was missing a front number plate. He just had a bad night overall.

Blake had a rough night. He had a crash in practice, and then the crash on the first lap of the main. By the time he got the bike started he was already being lapped by the leaders. Then he had to pull in to the mechanics area to get the bike straightened out so it was rideable. He was able to finish 15th. Thankfully he was uninjured in the crashes, and he is looking forward to Atlanta.

Thanks for the concern.

Something must be up with that kid that they aren't putting out, considering how he looked last year.

He was off the pace in practice too, if I remember correctly. He should be running with the top three, lap time wise, he's that level rider.

his starts, or lack of starts, last year amaze me because the dude is 128lbs. i think he is the most comfortable starting 5-10th and charging to front like he did last year (so well most of the time) in the nationals. that isnt going to cut it in these short sx races.

I was of the belief he was always more of an outdoor specialist anyways. He'll probably win daytona again. First turns have the ability to ruin even the fastest riders night. Give him a couple weeks before you stick a fork in him.

That may be true, but he was consistantly a second or more off the pace all day, even in practice. That's just doesn't sound like him, or a top title contender.
