Whats up guys, I am flying out to California from Kansas for a Porsche training class and decided what better to do than stick around for the weekend and go to Anaheim 2 while Porsche is paying for my flights. The Friday before the race I'm done with my classes at noon and kinda wann hit up a local Moto track to watch some riding and hang out, I am debating between Starwest (Lucas Oil) and Milestone. Which track is better for spectating since I can't bring my bike on the plane with me. It's my first time to California and just wanna check out the local tracks I read about on twitter and stuff. Would be cool to see a couple pro's out testing or riding too. So I just wanted to get your opinions on what track is better and if one or the other has more riders and possible pro's showing up to ride. I think both track also have a Supercross facility too, right? Other suggestions are welcome too, I'm just trying to keep it somewhat close to my hotel that I got thats like a mile and half away from the stadium. Thanks!

I would tell you to bring your gear and meet me somewhere, but the kids are out of town that weekend and I'm taking the wife away. Haven't been to Elsinore since the facelift, but I would suppose they would have the most 'cool' factor. Or you could drive to Cahuilla (on Friday) and see how God would build an out door mx track

Cool factor yes, to see people riding, not so much. Its sx season and Elsinore doesn't have a sx track. Milestone is closer to Anaheim and there is always some second and third tier guys there, although Friday afternoon, not so much.

I wasn't really expecting any of the current SX pro's to be there but maybe some of the east coast guys testing or something. I just wanna go watch some riding and hang out cause the tracks around here don't really draw a crowd of quality riders. I'm not a very experienced rider myself I've only been riding MX for about a year and half but I try and love the sport. I'm 28 too so I picked a good time to start riding dirt bikes(joke). I've riden street bikes a long time but decided to make the switch to dirt. But back to the conversation, I'm not really going for the cool factor, I just wanna go to one of those places that has the most riders with some good guys to watch on the SX track. Keep the opions rolling in, I'm up for anything really. I just don't wanna drive like 120 miles or anything.

Here is some more heads up... Leave Anaheim as early as you can. The 91 freeway blows anytime after 3, on Fridays about 2:30. Tell them at the Milestone gate your from out of town and thinking of going there on Sunday to ride, but you wanted to check the place out first. Although they say they have a gate fee, I don't know anyone who has been charged to get in to spectate. Milestone has a cool sx track and is pretty close to the freeway. If you were coming out earlier, you could go see all the factory practice tracks, but they are kinda empty on Fridays, still cool to see if you have never seen them.

Milestone has lights, as does Starwest, but Starwest is about 20-30 minutes farther.

Nice, thanks man, I think I will probably just go to milestone for a while on friday, then maybe hit a dealer signing if there is one on the way back. I would love to go to the factory tracks but that may have to wait until I have another couple days to drive around and check everything out, hopefully I'll be back next year for A1. I also need to find a IN N OUT burger, I have to try this place while I'm here, we don't have them around my area.
