I think if you throw any type of a track in front of RV1 (sand to hard pack, supercross to motocross to hybrid, tight to wide open, bike with parts intact to bike with parts not intact), he's doing to dominate no matter what. I thought I was watching the Monster Cup again just from the way he's racing tonight. Just unbelievable. Stewart is going to really need to dig down deep. But this A1 track was something that these riders weren't training for as well (hence Reed's statements). Proud to be a fan right now for sure!

It was hilarious how that fancy, one-off radiator shroud pretty much exploded when James laid it over into that tuff block and left him with a destroyed radiator

Watched it again, this is just my opinion but I have a guess that Stewart forgot that the table tops at A1 have tuft blocks actually on the flat surface, and just barely clipped it. If you look at the lines at his supercross track at home, he rides the edges exclusively. Pretty sure that was just a mental gaffe, I think he knows it too and I expect him to bounceback pretty easily.

Way I look at it now is RD, CR, JS will give us some really great and tight racing this year, as for any one of them beating RV......well shit son you're on your own.....

ha, my stock Yami does the same thing, not sure you can blame that on JGR fab. Plus, it give you an excuse as to why you are getting whooped.

You do realize you are breaking a lot of hearts right now....lol

I don't think Bubba is done by any means but a little humble pie after the tweets that were posted earlier and all the "fastest man on the planet" stuff ain't so bad. RV won everything last year and looks like he prepared himself to try it again.

what I saw tonight besides RupertX at Del Taco, is Poto + Kawasaki > stewart + yamaha. My opinion if the two riders swaped teams and bikes js7 would have beat him just as bad....add to the mix JS7 tires are not as good and the slips were obvious in many places tonight....

Maybe I'm crazy but to me stewart was winded, tired, giveout. He was sucking air through his mouth when
RD passed him. Then he tried to force it and was too tired and crashed...simple to me.Maybe he should ride
the nationals too.

It is pretty evident, that the claim of "the fastest man on the planet" is long gone (if even thought it was true). Obviously none of us have accomplished what he has, so who the hell are we to tell him what to do? But, I think James needs a Kawi. I'm not saying it cs I'm a Stewie fan who rides Kawi (believe me, I'm far from it but do want a kawi). He seams to have lost everything since leaving them.

I mean he was lucky the first year on Yamaha, but the bike doesnt seam to be up to par in Supercross and I'm sure is the main factor of James being where he is. Bike frustration leading to low morale.. Then outbursts of temper when he's racing because of the frustration, leads him to crash.. It's just a bad deal.

How he rode in the later stages of the race (after the crash) showed his lack of will to try, but I think his mind set is: "Why try? I can't win on this thing.." A few years back, if that had happened, he'd be right back up and going for the win! Now he's just like "owell.." JGR did an amazing job on the bike, but at the end of the day. It still a Yamaha and still started off the same way his L&M bikes did.

Get him back in FOX and kawi mounted, the old James would be back..

His race wasn't too bad though considering his bad start?

yeah, me too. I don't particulary like him now, but if RV was beating him consistently, I would start to feel bad for JS and start to root for him. I guess that's why I always liked Reed (don't mean that as backhanded insult).

Well, yeah. But it wasn't the James we used to, or atleast the one I got used to seeing..

Even with a poor start, that guy would make it happen, now he has the motive of.. I dunno, but he needs to re-capture something. He hit his peak and just like Pichon or Smets stayed around until things got worse and worse.. I'm not saying he's hit rock bottom. But like RC said, it's time to live up the name and expectation and with the bike (which I guess isnt as good as he's previously said) along with the pressure and comments like there are on here. He's finding it hard.

Back to his roots of fox and kawi.. Back to winning I think.

It would still be legal for James to run an 09 right? No way Yamaha or JGR would let him, but the AMA would, correct? I ask that out of purely curiosity, because the bike is not the issue here for him.

It had to be. First race jitters and he tightened up, Wilson admittedly had the same issue. That was not the James I am use to seeing.

He was ok first 4 laps and then something happened. He was aggressive all night and then in the main it was gone.

Yeah I'm an RV fan but I seriously doubt Stewart keeps this up all year. We will see big improvement in the coming weeks.

Its one friggin race.

What happens if RV or Reed crashes next race???

Lets wait until last and final race is run before you all call RV the Champ. Or anyone for that matter.

Top five have the speed it just comes down to mistakes.

Cant wait for next week.

Reed said it was hard to find the motivation to ride this track and I think Stewart was feeling the same way as it sure looked...
Reed said it was hard to find the motivation to ride this track and I think Stewart was feeling the same way as it sure looked like it in the main
If that's true then they're both finished.

Not motivated to ride the track? Can't imagine RC, MC or Everts thinking, yet alone saying that. I guess that's what separates the greats for the good.

RV looked pretty motivated. Very impressive. He could join the list of greats if he continues like this.

Im not saying they have to crash for James to win.

Last year would make that statement false.

Everyone will have off races, everyone.

Its just the person that limits those races that will win the championship.

RV, RD, Reed, TC...and just about every other rider will crash or have a bad race.

Lets just see who takes advantage of those races.

Wasn't it RC who said that he just wanted to come out "alive" and score some points at A1????

Top ten just did that
