cagiva wmx 500, piston

someone knows piston serves for my wmx 500? I saw that the yz 490 serves have any idea about this?

After a quick google search like you said it seems that a YZ490 piston will work. Different sites have Cagiva owners reporting that YZ pistons work.

I am looking at a spec sheet for the 1986 Cagiva WMX500 desert model and it lists an 87mm bore and 82mm stroke.

All the YZ490's from 1982-1990 and the 1991 WR500 have the same 87mm bore and 82mm stroke.

Wiseco lists one part # for the piston for the YZ 1982-83 model and another for the YZ 1984-90 & WR1991 models.

Your best bet may be to get a hold of a YZ piston and measure it up with the existing piston with a micrometer and make sure there is no clearance issues such as flat top vs dome top piston or wrist pin size and location which will cause a problem. And if you are not the original owner of the Cagiva make sure the cylinder is the stock bore or has it been overbored by a previous owner.

88mm or 1mm is in the Yz 490, the problem did not find the difference in the two pistons (82-83 and 84 -90) Yz490. in my country is the only cagiva, so I'm gathering information, thanks for your advice,

I wonder if he found measured from the bolt head and shaft piston skirts? I did not find these measures,
Sorry to be heavy but it is the only resource I found and someone answered me.
I have not the original rotor and I have in my possession one of Yz 80 for if it helps I can only doubt whether it will be too light for my 500
