Just got back to the hotel from Beale Street (Memphis). Actually our hotel is only a block down from Beale Street. Wow, what a fricken' blast!

Damn you are old!Whistling

The place doesn't get jumping good till midnight and you are already back at the hotel! WTF?

Teasing you of course. Have had more fun than I can remember on Beale. If you are going to be around Memphis tomorrow you should try mid town. The Cooper-Young area has some cool little bars and some damn fine eating.

Enjoy yourself Void

I definitely was just getting started when we came back to the hotel. I guess the people I am with are old. Smile A gang of us go somewhere every year for my birthday and this time my buddy picked Memphis. We're gong to hit the Gibson factory this morning (if the Department of Homeland security hasn't shut it down) and then over to Graceland this afternoon. I'll recommend Cooper-Young for dinner if we can find it. Thanks for the tip! Last night we ate at The Rendezvous just around the corner. Pretty neat place.

The Flying Saucer has over 300 beers on tap! It is down off of Beale.

As for mid town, head east up Union. You can't miss it. The Blue Fish is a suggestion for dinner and Young Ave Deli usually has some cool bands on Sat night.

And before I forget, HMFBD!Tongue

Thanks. Smile Our hotel is on Union (I think). I'll keep the Blue Fish in mind. How far away from the Peabody do you think that is?

You can't walk it. Probably a 10 min drive or a $10 cab ride.

Just got back from Graceland. My feet are killing me. I was never a huge Elvis fan but I thought it was worth the price of admission ($35).

All I can say is you better be stuffing yourself with barbecue. Pulled pork and ribs in Memphis are some of the best I've ever eaten.

I had salmon at a bar on main & Peabody tonight. It was pretty awesome. Then we took the trolley around the river front and back to Beale. Just got back to the hotel again. Memphis is way better than St Louis as far as fun factor.

They just told you that was salmon....it was actually some channel cat snagged fresh from the river. Evil

If I could make channel cat taste like that I would have it every day. Smile

Oh, we went on a Trolley ride last night and this chick got on and sat down beside me:

Not being from here I had no idea who she was but as soon as she sat down someone across from us asked if she was the TV lady. Smile We talked to her for about 10 minutes until we got off the trolley. She gave us a few tips on where to go around town.
