I am not sure, but it seems like all the women racers choose to ride 250Fs. Am I wrong when I assume that they are allowed to race a 450 if they wanted to? If I am right, why don't any of them do so and if they do, which ones do?

Are 450s really THAT much harder to ride than a 250F? I think they're actually easier to ride in a lot of ways.

They should be allowed to ride any two stroke, and a 250 or 450 four stroke.

Stupid rule.

DC stated that they were allowed to ride 250 2 strokes for 2011 back when the 250 2 strokes got shot down(again) for the 250 pro class. The OEM's and the AMA gave it their blessings. Some WMA riders were testing on their 250 2 strokes getting ready for the season from what I heard when some jackbooted thugs (dressed in red no doubt) stepped in at the eleventh hour and cried foul. Put the brakes on this 2 stroke crap before our star child gets beat or we'll have to take our toys and go home, they said. Then they loaded up in their red helicopter and disappeared.

I agree. It should be an open class.

Wonder what the purpose of that rule is? To keep them "safe"? LOL! Seems more like a disadvantage to have weak ass power and try to commit to some of the jumps they are forced to do.

KTM must be planning to dominate that class too. They added FI, linkage, e-start and traction control to their 250F bringing it up to a portly 231 lbs. without fuel if I read correctly. The traction control is a freebie, no electronics involved, just too much weight to spin the tire!

LOL! Did the name on the helicopter rhyme with Fonda by any chance?
