Versus a privateer finishing 20th or below in an outdoor national? Let’s get real here Adam C. just signed a 5 year deal with PC, not to take anything away from him, congratulations is really in order. But it seems kind of backwards that kids are making more money in contingency than the privateers actually racing the series. I know this has probably been posted before flame on.

I'd say there's a huge difference between a kid who can win the supermini class at Loretta's (after years winning 8 or 9 titles) and a privateer who places 20th at a national or lower. From the marketing perspective, it's a better bet to put money on the person with 8 Loretta's titles. Even if he doesn't turn out to be the next Carmichael, he has big marketing value to the mini racers for some time to come.
