What were the best minis from 80-82 ? I had a clunker xr 75 and wanted a yz 80 so bad.

I remember the 1982 RM80 was pretty hot. It was the first mini with their first mini with the Full Floater. Yamaha's 82 YZ80 was also quick. It was their first watercooled mini.

I remember being so disappointed that the new 1980 cr 80 got bad reviews. The local dealership was Honda and I thought the whole CR line up was so cool. After I heard the review I was off to lusting after a YZ. The RMs looked cool but I think I hated Howerton so much that it ruled out wanting a RM. Looking back the RM of that era looks cool. I stopped at 1982 because I was getting older and we all can remember how the 83 KX changed it all.

Yep, the 1983 KX80 is one of the best minis of all time.
