Suzuki would be stupid to pick Stewart over Dungey. Dungey is only one big bike championship behind Stewart, and that's in a year and a half of riding the 450. Dungey hasn't hit his peak yet. Stewart is past his.

The only way they wouldn't have a choice is if Dungey left on his own. I don't see that happening, but I guess anything is possible.

If there is any truth to this, any chance there is room under the KTM tent? Maybe RD was to stay with DeCoster.

DUNGEY is headed to KTM - Mark my words. The SUZ would probably suit JS7 better cause the yamaha and him do not get along.

if the rumors of Suzuki having a hard time financially, why hire the most expensive guy?

doesn't make sense to me.

ps... James didn't win the championship because there were 3 better guys every week, not because he was on a yamaha

x2. dungey looks great on the skud and jumping ship would be dumb unless the money is enough to give up any future championships he wanted to win. i do however think stewart would do better on a different steed (not taking anything away from 1,2, and 22)

James gets all of his dough through outside sponsors. I think he would ride the SUZ for support (Bikes / Factory Parts) and maybe a small bonus or contingency.

If true, and Goose doesn't go with Dungey, it would be a great move for Stewart. We'll see how it shakes out though.

I bet Stewart would still have his own team like now but just be on a Suzuki.

As for Dungey leaving, maybe Suzuki is getting rid of the factory team like Yamaha did.

I think KTM would not be best for Dungey from a bike standpoint.

I think it has more to do with Dungey being unhappy with Suzuki as apposed to Suzuki being unhappy with Dungey.

hidden agenda? are you serious? you wrote the comment, "there were 3 better guys every week..." which is obviously not true. The Math I learned at school, "every week" would mean 17 out of 17 rounds. He almost won 1/3 of the rounds and could very easily won more....hard to understand where "3 better guys every week" came from?

I am not a huge fan but also not a hater and IMHO, he was the fastest guy out there and should have won the title....Some of my Euro buddies always tell me that the fastest lap times means everything.....

Nothing like an outdoor championship to make everybody happy again. But if Dungey does leave for some reason I say they should pick up Pourcel.

Considering the fact that Matthes said that Stewart didn't ride outdoors because Yamaha didn't provide a bonus program, I find it hard Suzuki would step up for that. Unless outdoors would be part of his contract initially. This is all hypothetical of course

Wonder if Dungey could still win a championship with his bikes blowing up as often as Shorts does. KTM, Kan't Take Motocross. Was Shorts move to KTM good for his consistency and championship goals? Not as far as I can see.

Now someone might say that they do great in Europe, and they do, but it may have to do with the fuel and noise levels. I don't know but it does seem like they Kan't Take Motocross in America.

Suzuki/Rockstar James/Red Bull that's a tough sell/marriage to either....
