Best video I've watched lately...Thanks for sharing. The four stroke Nazi's can't even argue that that racing wasn't just as good or better than any 450 moto.

Now that was some good footage. Meanwhile, the powers that be here in the states refuse to make any efforts to bring the 125 class back to the top level of the sport. Best class ever with decades of history just flushed straight down the shitter. Now we get a banner wrapped jumpfilled rutfest on ricehulls. Makes for good TV though.....Sick

I agree with you man, but the powers that be are too busy counting the cash on the barrel head.. the way i cope, is by knowing they went out with a bang. like.. the biggest fucking bang of all time.

So what would the lap times be compared to the EMX150 Class...? Qualifying laptimes EMX125 vs. EMX150?

Both classes ran here, interested in laptimes, only thing I can find is the qualifying times for MX2 & MXGP...

If nothing else, that was quite boring to watch. Made it about a minute.

That kid is one aggressive little shit!

Great riding and an awesome video. There were a couple times in that video that showed him getting a little too aggressive I think. It worked for him , but I don't think it made those other dudes to happy. Kid was flat out rippin' though.

Maxime Renaux (959) is frigging quick too. Not sure how old he is though. Best sound in the world is a 125 popping.

Damn that series is so awesome. A lot of really cool young kids with all more or less the same speed! They should really televise this series too. Upcoming, wild, aggressive youngster going all-out on 2 strokes, what's not too like?

I'm also really interested who will be a big name out of this series: Prado is like the EU-Cianciarulo (has been mentioned since he was really young), Natzke highlighting as well, Geerts, Renaux, ...

You can switch over to the European Championship in the results page of the MXGP site to view Qualifying times for EMX 125 / 150 / 250 / 300 classes.

We do need this class here in the states. I've always said the same thing as you Newmann , it's the most important class in the sport. Getting rid of it was a crime to the sport I think. The GP's have figured it out and I really hope the Nationals see the light one day again too.

I think it is safe to say that the 450 class has outgrown the 250 class and the 250 class has outgrown the 125 class. So, why exactly do we not have this most awesome national level of racing on the big stage here in the states? Are we still going on the excuse that it wouldn't be fair to Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki? Are we still going with the homo rule that could easily be waived for a couple of years? Just a crying damn shame that the US is behind the curve here.

Who in the hell would have ever thought we would be here on a US based message board carrying on about how the GP's "have it figured out"? Heaven forbid we piss off a few people who don't even make 125's.

It would be heaven if there would be brand new 125cc from Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki Woohoo I really do not get the argument of MXsport that there is no "demand" / riders for such a series. That's bullcrap! Just look at EMX 125

And at the moment you have three manufacturers who deliver top material: Yamaha, KTM and Husqvarna so it wouldn't be a KTM-class anyway

I'm a bit surprised that someone would like to compare lap times between a stock mini bike with 16"/19" wheels to full factory bike with 19"/21" wheels Smile

Disclaimer: Of course I'm biased as that #25 Emil Weckman (13 yo) is riding for my team and is leading the EMX150 series. Even DC (he has probably seen a few fast guys over the years) thinks this guy could be something special : https://instagram.com/p/1pql1nFt98/?taken-by=racerxonline

That guy is nuts. He brakes 50ft after everyone else and just slams it into to the berm. Great watch!

Agree 100%. The racing is tight and it's so awesome to hear and smell factory 125s being ridden hard.

Just wanted to add that it's 4 manufacturers TM as well as KTM, Husky and Yamaha all offering competitive machinery.

Weckman was fast as at Matterley, but those bikes are dog slow compared to a 125, its a good feeder to EMX125 and 250, when it was launched , i thought it was stupid, mainly because of the cost, but now that isnt an issue, an arrive and ride series for kids that age is a good way to see where you really are.
