Wilson and Hill Stay Strong at Daytona Supercross

CORONA , Calif., (March 11, 2013) – Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson and Justin Hill battled it out at the fourth round of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross 250SX East series, which was held this past Saturday at the historical Daytona Motor Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla. Wilson was the fastest 250SX East rider of the night and, after finishing fourth in the 250SX East Main Event, is currently only five points out of the lead in 250SX East championship point standings. Hill is getting stronger with each race and never gave up as he rebounded from starting outside the top-ten to finish sixth.

Dean Wilson >> Consistently Fast

Wilson has consistently been the fastest 250SX East rider every week, and Daytona was no different. He earned a good gate pick after dominating his heat race, and got off to a good start in the 250SX East Main Event. He was inching closer to the leader, but came up short on a jump in a rhythm section. He regrouped and held on to finish in fourth. He is currently second overall in 250SX East championship point standings, a mere five points out of the lead.

Justin Hill >> Moving Up

This was Hill’s first time racing the legendary event in Daytona, and the rookie held strong as he battled the difficult track. After getting a start outside the top-ten in the 250SX East Main Event, the Oregon native put on an impressive charge as he moved through the pack to finish sixth. The finish moved him from seventh to sixth overall in 250SX East championship point standings, only one point out of the top-five.

Wilson and Hill will now make their way to the fifth round of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross 250SX East series, which will be held this Saturday, March 16, at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
