TiLUBE/N-Fab/Foremost Insurance Team for the Monster Energy Cup

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Oct 17, 2012) – Held inside Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, the second annual Monster Energy Cup kicks off this Saturay, October 20, where one lucky racer could walk away with a cool million dollars for just a few short hours of work. After a very sucessful, sold out event last year, the 2012 edition is shaping up to be just as compelling and will feature the addition of the TiLUBE/Foremost Insurance race team. A staple on the 2012 AMA Supercross circuit, the team is excited to be back racing again and has joined forces with N-FAB Off Road Accessories to take on the 40 rider field.

Gareth Swanepoel of Johannesburg, South Africa and Antonio Balbi of Belo Horizonte, Brazil will be representing the team. Both riders will be aboard 450cc motorcyles competing in a “run what you brung” style of racing. This format will make for some extremely exciting racing with 250cc motorcycles going head-to-head against the larger, 450cc machines.

Riders will become familiar with the track layout during afternoon practice sessions before moving directly into timed qualifying sessions. The results from the afternoon qualifiers will determine the starting lineup for the evening’s three main events. To be eligible to win the “Monster Million”, a rider must first qualify for each of the three main events before eventually winning them all. If no rider completes the sweep, the one with the best combined score will go home $100,000 richer.

Afternoon practice and qualifying sessions begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by opening ceremonies for the main events at 7 p.m. Be sure to stop by the afternoon pit party and visit the TiLUBE/N-Fab/Foremost Insurance Team truck to show your support and to have your picture taken with Gareth and Antonio from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. See you there!
