Taco BellR to Bring Pro Motorcycle Racing to Downtown Streets

Last year more than 50 racers and nearly 3,000 spectators saw the blow-your-mind action


 

 

WEST BRANCH, Mich. (June 6, 2012) – As the series launches for the Michigan Supermoto Championship this Sunday, June 10 at Auto City Speedway in Clio, Michigan, MISuperMoto.com announces further details for the second annual Taco Bell® Ogemaw Hills Supermoto Spectacular. Imagine motocross-based race bikes with road race style slick tires going down a main street under the traffic lights, buzzing by retail shops and restaurants, jumping 60-feet on a dirt tabletop temporarily set on main street, and traversing an urban steel ramp, 90-degree turns and a dirt section in a parking lot. Spectators see all the action completely for free. This is what will happen on Friday, July 20 in downtown West Branch, Michigan.

 

MISuperMoto.com today releases the official event poster for the Taco Bell Ogemaw Hills Supermoto Spectacular atwww.supermotospectacluar.com that includes some details and current sponsors. Fans may also view a video from last year’s event and racers can pre-register for the event by downloading the entry form. The West Branch City Council approved the event earlier this year.

 

In 2011, racers from as far as Florida competed and fans traveled from all over the Midwest. The Taco Bell Ogemaw Hills Supermoto Spectacular is part of the annual Ogemaw Hills Bike Week that also includes a pro flat track race, an AMA Pro Hill Climb event, and other activities.
