Maser (Treviso), 04 June, 2012 – The march by Sidi Sport champions in the 2012 motocross season knows no obstacles. Last weekend the Sidi colors triumphed on all fronts. The undisputed off-road masters are these two:Antonio Cairoli in the men's camp and Chiara Fontanesi among the women. On the highest step of the podium they are both wearing their Sidi Crossfire boots, which confirm themselves as the number one boot in motocross, unbeatable on any type of terrain and in any weather condition, even the most difficult and extreme.
Tony and Chiara are two authentic motocross phenomena. For both of them, Sunday, June 3rd brought success in the Grand Prix with double victories in race1 and race2, and leadership in the world series in their respective rankings. Together the two Sidi super champs earned a total of 100 points on Sunday, a veritable record haul!
Cairoli won the French GP in the MX1category. On the Saint Jean d’Angely circuit, Tony put together two heats that were perfect, to say the least, easily blowing away all the competition. For the occasion Cairoli was sporting allwhite and fluorescent orange graphics on his brand new Crossfire boots, specially designed for him by Sidi, which is always attentive to details and the needs of our riders. It would seem like these new graphics are really bringing good luck to the Sicilian ace. With this success Cairoli now has a 39 point advantage in the general classification over his closest rival, Christophe Pourcel.
At the same time Chiara Fontanesi clinched another splendid victory in the WMX category in the Croatian GP that took place on the Mladina circuit. On a never-before-seen track, since this was the first edition of the Grand Prix, starting on Saturday she started making a difference with a ten second lead over the second placed rider. In Sunday's two heats Chiara confirmed her superpowers, putting her rivals, Kane and Charroux, in line and wrapping up a decisive victory. In the World series classification Chiara now leads with a 60 point advantage over her rival, Van Den Vekker.
