Short Ends Season Strong; Lamay steps up to the Challenge at Ironman MX

Camarillo, CA (August 24, 2015)– Team BTO Sports ended the season this past weekend as they traveled to Crawfordsville, Indiana for the 12thand final round of the 2015 Pro Motocross Championship at Ironman Raceway. Team rider Andrew Short would finish the season off strong while the team gave Ben Lamay an opportunity to finish his season on a high note under the Team BTO Sports tent.

Andrew Short was on the gas at the start of the day, as he found the fast line around the Ironman track. HisPirelliScorpion MX tires helped him blast out of the gate in Moto 1 and round the first turn up at the front of the field.  Short continued to battle throughout the moto and would grab 12that the checkered flag. Short would have to work overtime in moto 2, as hisWP Factory Servicessuspension tamed the rough track and allowed him to battle a mid-pack start. He would work his way up to 12thplace by the checkered flag and finishing the day with 12thoverall.

“I felt good out there” Short said of his day. “The team worked hard all day and I am happy to end the season strong.”

With team rider Justin Brayton sidelined, Team BTO Sports offered a spot on the team to Ben Lamay for the last race of the season. Lamay battled through the field in moto 1 and finished 21st. He would come out swinging in Moto 2, rounding the first turn inside the front pack.  From there, Lamay would show his strength and battled up through the field to take the checkered flag in 14th. Combined with his first moto he would take 18thoverall on the day.

“The day started rough, but came around at the end” Lamay said of his day. “We got better every time we hit the track and I want to thank Team BTO Sports-KTM-WPS for giving me this opportunity.”
