Rockstar/Hart and Huntington Honda San Diego Race Report

San Diego, California - It was round seven of seventeen in the AMA Supercross series and things were heating up for the Rockstar/Hart and Huntington Honda racing team. This week the race took place at Qualcomm Stadium in beautiful San Diego California and the fans in the stadium saw team rider Troy Adams make the twenty man field and race hard to a sixteenth place finish. Adams, from Brooksville Florida, who qualified twelfth out of forty nine who lined up to race twisted a troublesome knee and fought through the pain. As a result of his sixteenth, Adams moved into twenty-first position in the points for the 2009 supercross series.

The other team rider, Josh Hansen of Las Vegas, came close to making the final but just missed out and won the gas card, which is awarded to the first placing rider to not make the main event. Hansen is in twenty-third in the points and just had some bad luck in San Diego. “I’m ok with Troy’s ride, he’s capable of better but all things considered I think he rode pretty good” said team manager Kenny Watson “We’ll just have to both guys in the main and in the top ten in Atlanta next week.”

Adams was pleased with his ride “I have a sore knee and just caught it in a rut or something and it bothered me the whole main but I tried the best I could. I want to thank H&H and all the team’s sponsors for sticking with us.”
