Riders Announced for Red Bull X-Fighters Glen Helen

International Field to Compete in U.S. Stop of World’s Premier FMX Series

SANTA MONICA, CA (May 8, 2012
)
– Twelve of the world’s best freestyle motocross riders are gearing up
to take on the biggest FMX playground ever created at Red Bull
X-Fighters Glen Helen. Taking place on Saturday, May 12 at 2 p.m. PT at
Glen Helen Raceway, the event, part of the Red Bull Signature Series,
marks the U.S. return of the planet’s premier freestyle motocross
competition after two years.

The 2012 season kicked off its six-stop
world tour on April 13 in Dubai, and following the stop in Glen Helen,
the riders will travel to Istanbul (June 16), Madrid (July 20), Munich
(August 11) and cap off the season in Sydney (October 6). Riders
competing at Glen Helen include Rob
Adelberg (AUS), Wes Agee (USA), Nick Dunne (USA), Martin Koren (CZE),
Maikel Melero (ESP), Tom Pages (FRA), Todd Potter (USA), Eigo Sato
(JPN), Levi Sherwood (NZL), Dany Torres (ESP), Andre Villa (NOR)
and Javier Villegas (CHL).

New Zealand’s Levi Sherwood, the winner of
the 2012 season opener in Dubai, will look to establish a streak with
another victory in Southern California.  His brilliant performance in
front of 20,000 spectators on the white sands of Dubai's Jumeirah Beach
Residence gave Sherwood his fourth career victory and first since
triumphing in London in 2010. Australia's Rob Adelberg was the
runner-up, while Javier Villegas of Chile got his first Red Bull
X-Fighters podium with a third place ride. Dany Torres, the defending
series champion, was eliminated in the quarterfinals in Dubai, and will
be seeking redemption at Glen Helen.

Created in 2001, Red Bull X-Fighters has
grown to become the biggest and most respected freestyle motocross tour
on the planet, featuring the world's best riders throwing down
groundbreaking tricks in stunning locations across the globe. More than
