Moose Racing - On The Podium



The fourth round of the 2011 Parts Unlimited OMA Nationals was this
past weekend in Rio Grande, Ohio where Scott Watkins continued to
improve his season’s results.  Watkins put together another solid
performance en route to a third place podium finish.

Watkins started the race off in third place and immediately set his
sites on the race lead. However, he would find himself on the ground
after tangling with another rider and which forced him to work his way
through the pack. After stringing together some solid laps, Watkins was
back up front battling with Jordan Ashburn for second place. With time
running out Watkins tried everything he could to get around Ashburn but
would end up in third place at the checkered flag. 


 


“I made some mistakes today jumping some creeks and logs and it seemed
like Jordan wasn’t making any mistakes at all,” Watkins said. “I’m
hoping to ride a little more this week if the weather isn’t bad and get
ready to ride on the rocks at the Rock Run GNCC.”

Watkins’ Moose Racing and JG Off Road teammate Jimmy Jarrett
experienced all of the highs, and unfortunately the lows, a racer could
expect going from the race lead to the sidelines after an unfortunate
crash resulted in a broken collarbone. Jarrett will be back out front
in no time and we all wish him a speedy recovery.
