Press Release

Monster Energy X Games 17 – FMX Practice

The
second day of octane-fueled competition has begun here at X Games 17
with Nate Adams, Andre Villa, Adam Jones, and many more taking to
skies inside STAPLES Center for FMX practice.

After the
first practice sesh, the X Games staff jumped in the dozers and made
some adjustments to the four different dirt and metal launch ramps
that cover the floor. With the course dialed, it was time for the
Monster Energy riders to put the finishing touches on their runs.
Each rider will have multiple timed runs where they will throw down
as many insane trick combos as possible with the ultimate goal of
going home with some X Games hardware.

Nate
Adams is one of the favorites to earn gold at this year’s games and
he is quietly confident in the bag of tricks he has up his sleeve.

Adams
is looking to turn the STAPLES Center upside down with perfectly
executed no-handed backflips.

Adam
Jones surveys the changes to the course after competing in last
night’s Moto X Best Trick.

Jones
hopes to bring home the gold as he torques this backflip combo high
above the arena floor.

Despite
coming into the FMX competition with a bum wheel, Andre Villa gears
up for his X Games 17 debut.

Villa
has tricks like this backflip cliffhanger on lock and will definitely
be one to watch come competition time.

Villa
getting fully extended as the FMX practice sessions wrap up.

Round
one of the FMX competition will be kicking off here shortly and we’ll
have a full recap for you once the dust has settled inside STAPLES
Center.
