Nex-Trax Arenacross Series Round Five – Chilliwack, B.C.

Kamloops, B.C.(Dec 20, 2009) The Nex-Trax Canadian Arenacross series resumed this weekend at Chilliwack's Heritage Park. Usually the series features a double header with racing on both Friday and Saturday night but this weekend was a single night of action on Saturday. With only a single night on the menu this weekend all the action was on the line.

William's Lake's Brock Hoyer again led the charge for the team, taking the final podium spot in the Lites main event with a solid third place finish. He came close to repeating again in the Open main but just missed out, grabbing a solid fourth to remain in the hunt for the championship.

White Rock's Brady Sheren rode his number 611 KX250F to a pair of sevenths for the night. Obviously below his standards for the Supercross veteran so you know he'll be looking for redemption when the series resumes in three weeks. The team's other rider, Kamloops' native, Kris Foster, suffered a hard crash during qualifying that left him with a trip to the ambulance to get his injured wrist looked at. With no break but a lot of swelling, Foster elected to tough it out and made it back out to qualify for the main event through the Last Chance Qualifier. From there he gutted out an eighth and ninth place finish in the Lites and Open main events, respectively.

That wraps things up for the team's racing activities in 2009. Everyone now looks forward to 2010 and another season of Kawasaki's in the winner's circle. The team resumes racing on January 8th and 9th with rounds six and seven of the Canadian Arenacross series.
