Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green Riders Capture Five Championships at Loretta Lynn's

HURRICANE MILLS, Tenn. (August 5, 2007) – Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™ riders rode for five championships at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross Championship in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.

Adam Cianciarulo, of Port Orange, Fla., made an impressive showing aboard his KX™85, capturing championships in 85 (7-11) Modified and 85 (7-11) Stock classes.

“I’m really excited,” said Cianciarulo. “I have won at Loretta’s before but never in both my classes. It feels awesome to dominate and earn both championships. My whole family and mechanic were awesome and the bike was running great.”

Also on a championship quest in the Motocross A class was P.J. Larsen, of Awendan, S.C. He won two of the three motos to finish with his first-ever Loretta Lynn’s championship.

“Each race I had to come from behind to earn my results,” said Larsen. “My Kawasaki ran great all weekend. Coming from Ponca and finishing top-three in all my motos helped me gain the confidence I needed to race well here at Loretta’s. Earning the championship really hasn’t hit me yet.”

Michael Hall, of Murrieta, Calif., also took a championship in the MX Lites B Stock class after suffering from a concussion just one week before.

“It feels good to see all the hard work has paid off,” said Hall. “Having such a big break between nationals, it makes you wonder if you are training at the level as everyone else. Ending up on top definitely makes all the hard work worth it. My mechanic Andy worked really hard and my bike was great.”

Coming from behind to win a championship in the Senior 45 Plus class was Raymond Niebel, of Pittsburg, Pa. He started with a fourth-place finish in the first moto and a second place in the second. He secured his championship with a win in the final moto.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™ riders will head to the Dodge Amateur National at Hangtown MX in Sacramento, Calif. starting October 1 and the Kawasaki Race of Champions (KROC) in Englishtown, N.J. starting October 6.
