Joaquim Rodrigues Joins Team MotoSport Kawasaki

February 1, 2007 – Team MotoSport Kawasaki today announced that Joaquim Rodrigues will contest the remaining West Coast Lites races, beginning this weekend at Angel Stadium. Following the Anaheim event, he will also race Houston, San Diego, Seattle, and possibly the Las Vegas Lites Shootout. Rodrigues will be running his familiar #108 for the rest of the season.

“I just got on the Kawasaki for the first time a week ago, so I am obviously still getting used to the bike and the team,” said Rodrigues. “But I’m comfortable enough to race – I just need to try and do my best and let my speed come back to me. I haven’t ridden Supercross in awhile, but I am happy to be back racing again.”

“We are excited to have Joaquim onboard for the rest of the Supercross season,” said team manager Bill Keefe. “It all came together pretty quickly, but he’s been riding this week and doing what he can to get ready to race.

“With Joaquim joining Team MotoSport Kawasaki, we’re able to put another Kawasaki on the track, fulfill a commitment to our sponsors, and continue to contribute to Kawasaki’s dominance in the Lites class.”
