HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (June 30, 2013) – Moto-X 338 was the site for round six of the 2013 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. The race is said to be the last at the historic sand track located in Southwick, Mass. The first pro national held at Moto-X 338, named after the American Legion Post that resides on the property, was in 1976. The layout was the only sand course on the tour, with a reputation for being the most physically and mechanically demanding surface on the circuit. Fuel TV broadcast the first motos live, the second motos were aired live on the NBC Sports Network.

When the gate fell for the start of the first moto, Justin Brayton suffered adversity right from the beginning, getting collected with a group of riders going down in the first turn. Grant crashed on the opening lap as well, putting the teammates in 29th and 26th respectively as they started the second lap of the race. Both riders began to advance with Brayton 20th and Grant 15th on lap 11, but then Brayton again encountered difficulty crashing out of the moto. Grant finished the race in 13th, Brayton was 32nd. Brayton started the second moto cleanly inside the top-10 with Grant 13th. Brayton ended the moto seventh with Grant 11th. Brayton’s combined moto scores equated to 16th overall, with Grant’s finishes earning him 10th for the day.

Attendance at last week’s Budd’s Creek pro national was 21,600. There were 60,698 live stream starts. The first motos aired live on Fuel TV with viewership of 29,000, the second 450 moto was live on NBC with 432,000 watching.

Red Bud Track and Trail in Buchanan, Mich. will host round seven of the series on July 6. FUEL TV will broadcast the first moto live at 1:00 p.m. (EST). The second moto will air live on NBC at 3:00 p.m. (EST).
