Ferris leaves Sydney with race win

The 3rd round of the
Australian SX series held in Campelltown, Syndney has seen a frustrated
Dean Ferris end the 3 x 6 lap race format with a strong win under dry
conditions.

With the previous two rounds being
marred by rain and mud, Supercross fans were excited to see some exciting
racing and the heated Lites class provided some bar bashing.  Ferris
wheelied off the start in his first moto and was left dabbling in mid
pack.  He went down halfway through the 6 lap sprint and salvaged
11th spot at the flag.

A better jump in moto 2 launched
Ferris close to the front but moments later he was taken out along with
half of the field by a wild throttled rider.  Bruised and sore Ferris
rejoined to end 14th.

Determined to turn his night around
Ferris grabbed the hole-shot in the final sprint and never looked
backed.  He won by a comfortable margin and looking smooth and
confident aboard his Monster Energy KX250F.

“Starts are really important
with these short race formats and tonight I missed the first one and then
bad luck wiped me out of the second start.  I’m very frustrated
with where are am in the standings so it’s time to put that behind me
and now work on some overall wins.” Vowed Ferris.
