Press Release

Congratulations to the entire EKS Brand Team!

AMA Monster Energy Supercross round 4.

Zach Osborne 3rd

Once again congratulations goes out to EKS BRAND goggle racer Zach Osborne for another spectacular podium finish at round 4 of the AMA, Monster energy Supercross in Oakland CA.

For the second week in a row, Osborne was able to qualify second in timed practice and was only one tenth of a second away from securing the fastest qualifying time in the Lites class. This qualifying time gave him the first gate pick for heat number one which led to a good start, and a second place heat race finish behind Dean Wilson.

A descent start in the main allowed Zach to make some key moves and was able to work his way up through the pack where he would see his way clear to finish in the third spot. Zach now sits in 3rd position in the overall point standings!

Unfortunately Zach is done with his 2012 Supercross tour. He will now move on to the MX-2 World Championships where he is considered one of the early favorites for the title.

Kyle Chisholm 12th

Although Kyle is posting some great results, it appears that Kyle is still searching for his comfort zone on the new bike. Kyle finished a solid 12th in Oakland which is truly amazing considering he was close to dead last entering the first turn. Look for Kyle to be running near the front of the pack soon.

Michael Leib 16th

After posting some incredibly fast lap times in practice and finishing an impressive 5th in the first heat race, Micheal had some bad luck in the main. He was running inside the top 10 when some mistakes put him at the back of the pack. Michael would re- group to finish 16th on the night.

National Enduro series. Sumter SC.

Brad Bakken 5th, Jordan Ashburn 7th, Andrew Delong 8th, Jason Raines 9th.

The first round of the National Enduro series saw 4 EKS BRAND racers in the top 10. What a great start to the season!

The EKS Brand, Obermeyer Yamaha/Raines Riding University/Offroadviking.com team was on hand for the first round of the National Enduro Series in Sumter, South Carolina on Sunday. The day started out as a cool South Carolina morning with blue skies and no rain in sight. With many of the sport’s top riders on hand, Brad and Jason would be put to the test. Brad would have an excellent day on his YZ250 running in the top 5 nearly the entire day where he would come home with the finish. Jason was well back in the pack riding from the 89th row. Although he would encounter slower riders and some of South Carolina’s finest sand whoops Jason managed to pull off a top 10 overall finishing 9th for the day! With the rides Jason has had the last two weeks the competition should be extremely happy that he is “retired” and not racing fulltime anymore.

Good job EKS Brand Racers!
