Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Preview

FARMINGDALE, NJ – June 30, 2011 –
Bel-Ray Company, Inc.  – Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Preview

The
racing season has hit the midway point and Bel-Ray’s teams of
professional racers have been performing at their top level. Bel-Ray
racing exists on a global scale
in various forms of motorcycle racing. This weekend’s events will take
place in motocross and Moto2 racing in the United States, Sweden,
Australia and Italy.

In
Moto2 Racing, the Bel-Ray backed Tech3 racing team of Bradley Smith and
Mike Di Meglio has experienced mixed results. Smith is coming off of 2
consecutive podium
finishes, including a 3rd last weekend at the Dutch Grand
Prix and hopes to keep the streak alive this weekend in Italy. Teammate
Mike DiMeglio has shown flashes of brilliance this season but crashes
have derailed his chances for a good finish.
The Moto2 tour heads to Mugello, Italy for the Italian Grand Prix this
weekend.

In
AMA National motocross racing,  TwoTwo Motorsports / Bel-Ray Racing’s
Chad Reed comes into this weekend’s Rockstar Energy Drink Red Bud
National in Buchanan, MI
holding the “red plate” as the series points leader. Reed has held the
points lead all season ling and heading into the halfway point of the
season he is in a good position to regain it until the end. He holds an 8
point lead going into this weekend’s action.
Joining the #22 of Reed in the 450 class will be #96 Lowell Spangler,
#449 Dakota Kessler, #514 Anthony Roth, #554 Tyler Livesay, #606 Ronnie
Stewart, # 731 Steve Roman, and  #760 Tyler Wozney. In the 250 class
Bel-Ray racer #446 Frankie Lettieri will compete.

In
World Grand Prix MX1 racing, TM Factory Racing rider Tanel Leok is
looking to build upon his breakout ride in Spain. His second place in
the second moto has been
the highlight of his season thus far. He comes into this weekend’s race
in Uddevella, Sweden 13th overall in the season’s points standing .

In
Australia, Round 7 of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mx Nationals will
take place at the Lincoln Causeway in Wodonga,VIC, Australia. The
Bel-Ray backed Axis 07 team placed
well at the previous round of the series with Justin McDonald finishing
4th overall and Cody Mackie finishing 7th overall in the Pro Lites Class. Teammate Dylan Peterson was 3rd overall in the Under 19s class. The team has
been consistent front runners all season long.
