AMA Motocross Organizers to Meet in San Francisco This Weekend

Annual Meeting Focuses on 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Details

MORGANTOWN, W.V. (January 26, 2010) - The 12 race organizers that host races in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship will all gather this weekend in San Francisco, Calif., for the annual National Promoters Group (NPG) summit. The meeting will take place in conjunction with the fourth round of the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series this Saturday evening, January 30.

The promoters will meet with series organizer MX Sports Pro Racing and their partners from Alli Sports, as well as Next Level Sports, AMA race officials, series sponsors and several athletes to discuss strategic planning for this summer's tour. In addition, promoters will compare ideas and suggestions on how to ensure the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Series continues to be the world-leading motocross championship.

"All of the AMA Motocross promoters and their families are looking forward to enjoying a great weekend of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in San Francisco," said Davey Coombs, MX Sports Vice President. "It's been a fantastic series so far and I think all of our promoters can learn from the excellent show that Feld Motor Sports puts on for their fans every Saturday night. We really appreciate Feld's hospitality and the fact that they will be hosting our group for their event."

The NPG was founded in 1997 as a way for the various AMA Motocross promoters to work together in order to produce a cohesive, consistent outdoor motocross championship. Beginning with the 2009 season, MX Sports Pro Racing has taken over the commercial and marketing rights for the historic series, but the NPG continues to play a vital role in ensuring the series continues to prosper.

The 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship begins on May 22 with the Hangtown Classic, just outside of Sacramento, Calif.
