MXon 2010: Team Canada 1

Here's another team with a final roster getting ready for the 2010 MXoN, and we believe they're all first-time participants, giving Team Canada a new look this time around.

The Olympics of motorcycling, the 64th annual Motocross of Nations, takes place in the United States for only
the 3rd time in 2010. Thunder Valley Motorsports Park in Lakewood, Colorado is the venue for the world’s biggest
motocross race September 25 & 26, 2010.

The Canadian Motorcycle Association has announced Team Canada for
2010. Team Manager for the 7th year will be Chatsworth, Ontario’s Carl
Bastedo. Vaughn, Ontario’s Andre Laurin will be the Assistant Team Manager
for the 2nd year.

Riding the #79 in the premiere MX1 class will be Kemptville, Ontario’s Jeremy
Medaglia. The 20-year-old Medaglia will be on his Orange Motorsports
KTM. Medaglia is the youngest member of Team Canada and will
be taking part in his first Motocross of Nations event. He commented, “This
is the opportunity of a lifetime and I’m excited to see what I can do against
the best riders on the world stage. It’s an honour to represent Canada at
the olympics of motorcycling.”

Canada’s entry in MX2 will feature the #80 of Kaven Benoit. The 21-year old
from Bon-Conseil, Quebec will ride the Duroi Racing KTM. Benoit
commented, “I’m so happy to represent Canada at this event, it’s unbelievable
and the chance of a lifetime. I’ll work hard preparing and do my very
best.”

The #81 in MX3 will be ridden by Millbrook, Ontario’s Kyle Keast. Keast
is the veteran of Canada’s young team at 25. Kyle will ride the Honda
Canada/Machine Racing Honda. Keast commented “I’m super excited
and have always wanted to represent Canada at this event. It’s like going
to the Olympics for motocross riders.”

The Motocross of Nations is covered by more of the world’s motocross
media than any other event and seen on television in 150 countries with
an audience of 200 million. Information on the event can be found at www.mxnations.com
