Public entrance time for Detroit?

IMG 0979.png?VersionId=.BMc7fTEYae.f9SeqI was considering going to Detroit SX. On the Supercross app schedule, it says “doors for public 2pm”. RacedayLive starts at 9am. Does Detroit not allow people in to watch practice/qualifying, etc? Please help.

Detroit doors open at 8:00am - only 2 gates will be open at the early times.
