I'm about to replace the stock chain that came on our YZ250F. I run an RK MXU narrow chain on my 450 but its a $120 chain. I'm trying to save some cash and if I don't need a narrow chain, I can get a good quality DID Xring chain for about $60. I just want to make sure it fits.

my advice would be to fork the money up and buy all new stuff even if your sprockets are still good. A new chain on old sprockets will wear a lot faster and you will be back to square 1 again. Personally I would go with the DID VT2 Narrow X-Ring and renthal sprockets. Get the twinring rear though. That setup will last A LONG TIME before needing to be replaced....

I'm already running a Renthal Twin Ring, it still looks just about perfect. The bike only has about 16 hours on it. I'm replacing the chain before it wears on the sprocket.
