Just got through replacing the top end on my 2007 CR125. When I was installing the exhaust pipe joint into the cylinder one of the 8mm bolts broke as it was not aligned properly with the other two bolts. First off, how difficult will it be to remove that broken bolt and what specific brand and type of tool would you recommend? Also, can the cylinder be removed without having to take off that exhaust pipe joint, or will the frame be in the way without removing it, thus not allowing the cylinder to come up and off? Thanks for any help.
You can get an extractor at any hardware store (lowes, home depot, etc) for a couple bucks.
If there is thread hanging out of the hole still, then clamp a pair of vice grips on that sucker and take it off.
BTW, your bolts are 6mm, they just have an 8mm head.
Alternatively to a screw extractor, you can use a lh drill bit, but those can be more difficult to find.
