Hi Guys

What rear Tyre do you Guys who race a 79 RM250 at Farleigh Castle run?

Std Rim size is 2.5x18

I have a 120/90 18 at present

But thinking of going to a 110/100 18

What are your thoughts?

Factory set up was 5.10x18 which is equivalent to the 120/90x18 on a 2.5 wide rim.

How does the 110/100x18 go on the 2.5 wide rim mate?

5.10 x 18 is actually 110/100-18. We used the same mold (ex. say M22) at Bridgestone for both, eventually changing everything over to metric sizing with some exception. The 4.00 x 18 is the 100/100-18. The 4.10-18, a lower aspect ratio than 4.00 but same width, never got an equivalent metric sizing.

All 110's, 18 or 19's, are meant to run on 2.50 width rims. They don't come stock that way for a variety of reasons. Your 100/90-19 on your 125 will benefit running on the 2.15 width rim instead of the 1.85.

Rim width determines tire size, for street or dirt bikes.
