Lets say I have a few dogs that shit in my yard often. What can I do to the fuckers? Can I shoot them with a pellet gun? Paint ball gun? Soak them with the hose? To teach them to shit on someone else's lawn.

I'd pick the shit up and toss it on the owner's yard.

That's what I do now but it hasn't changed anything. I need to get to the root of the problem and teach the dogs some good behavior.

That, and legally (though I am not a lawyer), shoot them with the hose.

IMO, you cannot cause "harm" to the animals
Water will not harm them, anything else listed could or be construed as harmful

Get a fence or stop bitching about it.

Why don't you just go take a crap in their yard?

If you can spot them doing it, take a few pictures of them in the act. Then sue their owners in small claims court for the cost of new sod! After having to pay for your lawn a few times a year, they might just start keeping track of their pets!

Don't take it out on the dogs man-that's just mean. They don't know any better. Talk to the owners.

In the rural area and because of livestock considerations, its generally accepted that stray dogs (if you know the owner) gets one warning, next time they are disposed of.

Hire a service to clean it up once, twice, seven times a week. Take the bills to small claims and file a suit to recover the damages from the owners of the dogs. Your brother-in-law owns just such a service, doesn't he? Wink

I would put the bag of dogshit on the owners front door step every morning.

I've seen this dog/cat repellant system somewhere.........can't remember where, but thought it was kind of neat. Consists of a high pressure sprinkler and a solar powered motion sensor. Anything comes in range, it gets sprayed with water. I thought it was kind of neat and may be your best bet realistically.
