I think they can charge the operator $500.00 for any open container in the cabin.

The roadie has been illegal for some time in TX. Probably 10 years or more. People just don't want to accept that. Same goes for any open container even if it is a passenger.

I don't get this:

HB 2730 allows a new Texas resident to operate a vehicle without a Texas license for 90 days instead of the current 30. (This provision went into effect on June 19, 2009.)

Its taking Obama longer to get that Amnesty stuff done and green cards shipped.

I'm assuming they're just giving a licensed driver from another state a longer grace period for obtaining a TDL.

Perhaps they realize how inefficient the DPS is, and know 30 days is just an unreasonable amount of time to get their TDL.

They're not playing around with the human trafficking one, are they?

Oh, a friend of mine lived in Dallas for a few years in 85, and he told me about that.

As recently as 2002 there was a liquor store in Abilene where I used to live that you could buy mixed drinks to go via drive through.

They sold frozen drinks in a cup with tape over the top and a single serving of tequila or other hard liquor. I guess the tape prevents someone from mixing it until they get home Wink

Of course, in virtually every convenience store and liquor store around here, there's a display case with 40's on ice. Often see someone grabbing one or two of those and heading out on the road. At the gas station last night there was a guy with 3 beers, looked to be 20 or 24 oz. Pretty sure he wasn't waiting to get home.

Have you guys succeded yet? Let me know when it happens because I'm moving. The only reason I don't live there now is because I don't like hot weather but for a properly run country I'll suffer through it.
