Question for Mr.Sherwood...or others in the El Paso area...

My son is looking for a good restaurant near Ft. Bliss to celebrate his birthday at. People have recomended Cattleman's steakhouse,but it is 25 miles or so away.Is there anything closer that you could recommend?

Andale mexican restaurant is off Gateway I think. Kikis on Copia is good Mexican food as well On base you have Buffalo wild wings and an Irish Pub that escapes my name right now but I'm sure your son knows about those. Sorrento for italian, it's been in El Paso sense 1950 off of dyer street., Bikini Joe's is near Ft Bliss and that would be fun for a birthday deal. It also depends where on Ft Bliss he is.

Thank's Sherwood, I think he has a big steak dinner in mind.I will pass the information along to him. The army is giving him an all expenses paid trip to one of the sand boxes within days of his birthday,so I think he wants to do something special. Thank,s again for your time.

Thank's Scottie and Cygnus. After watching people come up to him at the airport wishing him well,I know how much it means to him. Thank's for the birthday shout. Another year closer to becoming part of the fossil record.Laughing

The best BBQ place is on the other side of town called State-Line, but I would definitely say Cattleman's is way better.
