Im going to replace the 320gb internal hard drive in my iMac with a 2tb drive.
Who has a preferred brand with a good track record?

Yeah that would be nice to have some freebies avail.

I have 4 ext drives, 2 of them are RAID'd to create a 1.5tb media server but Im tired of the lag for spin up when I access them which is just often enough to have to wait constantly.

I should be set until I sell this computer(couple years) if I throw in a 2tb internal.

Im running a little test script right now that is supposed to keep it spinning, we'll see how it goes. That little tip might have saved me about $200 fart. Thanks... maybe.Cool

I prefer WD, but, never actually had a drive go bad, so I may not have the diversity of experience.

Maxtor is no more. Seagate took them over. Seagate's warranty for OEM desktop drives is 3 years.
