Eastern Oklahoma usually gets it much worse, but sometimes it cuts into AR pretty good.

If you live East of OKC and North of I40 and don't have a generator, you better have a LOT of blankets and bottled water.

Every house should have at least a 5K gennie and a cord to backfeed. Just remember to pull the main!

We are still VERY FUCKED!!

I could give a shit about my house...I have a 6500 generator, but my business is bad.

They estimate around 1500 to 2000 electric poles down....

Estimates are saying 150,000 to 200,000 people here in NW Ark. are without power still. Luckily, my power is back on after being off most of today. My parents' electric shut off Tuesday morning and the power company is telling them next week some time. For now, they're staying with me. Which isn't bad, mom's a better cook than I am!

It's impressive that hundreds and maybe even close to a thousand power company workers from other states have already shown up to help out. I spent most of today helping neighbors get cars out and even ran to the grocery store a few times for some people that live down the road from me to get some essentials.

Tyson Foods (Mmmm, tastes like chicken) is sending dozens of reefer trucks to all the local schools to store food so the losses are kept minimal. Wal-Mart is donating diapers and bottled water and several other companies are pitching in too. (Some of the area's largest churches are still locked up tighter than a prison though....so much for offering shelter)

Its also impressive to watch the communtiy rally together like this in times of disaster.

Huck, hope it gets better over your way soon. Wish I lived closer, I'd come help out.

I leave the main on that way I can back-feed the entire neighborhood.

I didn't think that people in GA even had power to begin with... Wink

My business power came on this morning...so it was off from Tuesday until Saturday. My house is still off.

I was very impressed with the amount of workers that came in from other states as well...I know they're getting paid, but it was nice to see the reinforcements come marching in.

Now the fun part begins...
