Help with Jumping

I'm new to MX. I need help jumping, what is the best way to jump high. I tried pulling up the handle bars but I just wheelie....Should I just go fast and let it jump it for me??

Speed and Height of the jump will allow you to jump high, but if your new at jumping, start small and work your way up.

everyone has there own style of jumping, just keep practicing and ride correct and you'll get jumping down in no time. skills 3 is a really good movie, you should check it out.

glide.....keep the throttle engaged and as you leave the lip of the jump keep the throttle engaged at the same point in which you stared the jump.
meaning if your coming out of a corner and theres a jump and you leave the turn and your in second gear with the throttle pinned then enter and exit the jump in that speed. also if its a big jump compress your suspension....meaning when you approach a jump push all your wait on the foot pegs causing the forks and rear shock to compress (get smaller) and as you leave the ground all the force you emitted will leave as soon as you leave the ground.....
on you tube type in gary semics mx tips how to jump he helps soo much....he coached some of the worlds best
