How much oil do these pigs take? Working on dads bike that never came with an owners manual...

Its an 07 if that matters much, I think all of the newer ones are the same...

Shouldn't this be in the Race Shop section?Whistling
Clean the filter, drain all the hidden locations and throw a quart in. Let it idle a couple of minutes and when you check it, the dipstick will show a safe amount (not too full).
Good luck not cross-threading the little plastic dipstick.

theres a 8mm bolt with a red/orange colored grommet on the left side of the cylinder, unscrew that slightly and check to make sure oil seeps out while idling to ensure oil circulation. Thats something i always do to be safe. peace!

The manual also mentions not using oils with additives.

well... you know my dads maintenance schedule... or lack there of... i figured why i have him in time out from racing i'd do his yearly maintenance to the 450 and his 125...

KW you'll have to take that up with the King, its his toilet... I'm a yellow guy...

He's gong through 3 new helmets in 3 races so I have him on suspension to let his noodle catch a break...

Got landed on/hit in practice... Broke Collar bone/dislocated elbow knocked him out...

Month later... Holeshots and washed his front end out, dirt napped... Highside was actually behind him and stopped to pick his bike up off him...

A week later, two weekends ago, he cased a triple/overjumped the double part and smacked the ground again, knocked him out pretty good...

I'm looking at sports with roll cages for us to take up...

In Au, they publish the international versions of the manuals on-line. I will see if I can find a link.
